AI Model Index is a read-only reference site. It does not require an account and collects as little data as practically possible.

1. What we collect

No personal accounts, no cookies for tracking. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store only the email address you provide, plus the timestamp, IP, referer, and user agent of the request for abuse prevention.

2. Analytics

Basic aggregate page views are counted by GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service hosted by Deep Digital Ventures. No third-party tracking cookies are set by this site.

3. Third-party APIs

The admin-only sync tool queries OpenRouter's public model directory to cross-check the catalog. No visitor data is sent to OpenRouter or any other third party.

4. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we will use your email only to send the newsletter and related administrative messages. You can ask to be removed at any time by emailing us.

5. Data retention

Newsletter subscriber addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for abuse and debugging purposes, then rotated or purged.

6. Changes

This policy may change over time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
